WATCH: Media Blames ‘Evil’ Gun For School Shooting, Shocked By Sheriff’s Question For Them

A school shooting recently took place in Washington state, leaving at least one person dead and several others injured. Unfortunately, the media saw fit to pounce on the opportunity to bash “evil” guns – but reporters at the time were left completely shocked by the one question that the local sheriff had for all of them.

Those living in Spokane are mourning today after 15-year-old Caleb Sharpe brought a gun to Freeman High School in the town of Rockford and executed a fellow student before trying to take out a few more. According to Chicago Tribune, one child was dead in the end and another three girls were injured, but they are expected to survive.

Of course, as the left typically does in these situations, it wasn’t long before so-called “progressives” had climbed atop the grave of the dead child to spew their political agenda. Turning the event into a gun grabbing message, even reporters tried to force Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich into blaming “evil” guns for the madness.

Too bad for them, they didn’t know what they had gotten themselves into as the law enforcement leader said that he’s never been one for “political correctness” and further added that the “older he gets, the less of a filter he has.” In fact, he went on to prove just that by shooting back a question at the media that left them stunned:

“You started glorifying cultures of violence — you’ve glorified the gang culture, you’ve glorified games that actually give you points for raping and killing people. Gun didn’t change. We changed” says Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich, in answering wannabe trap questions from media about how guns played a role in the recent school shooting in eastern Washington.

“It all depends on the 15 year old. I can tell you, folks, I carried a gun all my life. I hunted, I shot. My friends and I… It’s huntin’ season back home. When I was in high school, every one of those rigs in the high school parking lot had a gun in the gun rack. Why? We went huntin’ on the way home. None of those guns ever walked into a school. None of those guns ever shot anybody. What’s the difference? Did the gun change? Or did you, as a society, change? I’ll give ya odds that it was you as a society, because you started glorifying cultures of violence. You glorified the gang culture, you glorified games that actually give you points for raping and killing people. The gun didn’t change, we changed.” [Source: The Gateway Pundit]

It’s really a shame that in today’s society we can’t just put the politics aside when tragedy strikes and do what we can to help those in need. Nowadays, people are all too eager to use a horrific event to push an agenda while others are suffering the loss of an irreplaceable loved one.

Guns are just a tool – they’re no different than a hammer or an ax. What it all boils down to is the person wielding such a tool and what they intend to do with it. Sadly, it was used for nothing short of evil in this instance, but that doesn’t mean the tool did anything to contribute.

Every single day, millions of guns sit quietly not “accidentally going off” or killing anyone, but the left doesn’t want you to think about that. Instead of blaming inatimate objects, it’s time to take a look at the people responsible for such atrocities.

You aren’t going to stop someone from killing someone else if they put their minds to it. After all, the first murder was committed with a rock. However, what we can do is try to address the clear mental health issues that plague our society which results in these horrific events. Stop trying to demonize things that are irrelevant and look at the actual problems we have. Maybe the so-called “progressive” left would actually save a few lives if they did start thinking proactively rather than politically.
